現在のWordPressにおいては「ブロックエディタ」と呼ばれるものが標準エディタ(記事作成画面)となっています。
ブロックエディタはWordPress 5.0から実装されたのですが、今までのエディタ(クラシックエディタ)と大きく変わったこともあって未だにクラシックエディタを使っている方も多いです。
テーマによってはブロックエディタがうまく動かなかったりしますしね…。
クラシックエディタを使う際には「Classic Editorプラグイン」を使うのですが、このプラグインのサポート期間が延長されました。

ひとまずまだ1年以上は大丈夫っぽい。
とは言え、いつかはブロックエディタに移行しなきゃいけないんだろうなぁ。
AWS EC2でテスト環境を構築してあるからそっちでブログを立ち上げて徐々に慣れていくか…。
